Our team.
A small team with deep roots in independent retail, here to help your shop and our vendor partners thrive.
Betty laid the foundation for Purchasing Power Plus, pairing more than fifteen years in finance and accounting with hands-on retail leadership. As the first paid manager of The Toledo Hospital Gift Shop, she grew annual profits from $200,000 to over $900,000 while leading a team of ten staff and thirty volunteers. It was there she saw the power of buying networks firsthand and built PPP around it, with vision, heart, and a clear understanding of what independent gift shops truly need to succeed.
A University of Toledo graduate, Carrie joined Purchasing Power Plus in 2000 and has spent the last two and a half decades shaping it into the community it is today. She is the driving force behind Retail with Purpose, a nationwide program built to educate, inspire, and connect retailers across the network. Whether she is helping a shop discover new products or guiding a vendor through this unique channel, Carrie leads with warmth, insight, and a belief that real progress comes from strong relationships and a community-centered approach.
Daniel joined PPP in 2014, bringing a people-first approach shaped by an unusually varied path. An honors graduate of the University of Central Florida with a Master’s from the College of Health and Public Affairs, he has worked everywhere from restaurant general management to clinical social work in hospital and community health settings. At PPP he leads vendor relations, membership growth, and strategic partnerships, meeting people where they are, asking the right questions, and building alignment across the board.
Randa has been a steady, solutions-focused force behind PPP’s day-to-day operations since 2000. A University of Toledo graduate, she came to PPP after four years as Visual Merchandise Coordinator for The Toledo Hospital Gift Shop. Today she oversees the systems and services that shape the member and vendor experience, from onboarding and internal communications to program execution and logistics, bringing consistency, calm, and clarity to everything behind the scenes.
